Flour Mill Update April 2006
The mill donated by Country Living Mills finally made it to San Juan in March of 2006. Despite attracting the attention of the Custom's officers at the Mendoza Airport, they let me through with the mill. The two Stake Relief Society Presidents in San Juan, Norma Colombo and Yolanda Gonzales have been advised. They have determined that for now the mill will be used to grind rice and other materials for young children who have celiac disorder.

Flour Mill February 2003
The mill purchased in 2002 in serving the San Juan Chimbas Stake well. Some leaders mentioned that they would be interested in a mill that would grind a finer flour for bread-baking.

Country Living Mills donated one of their excellent mills to the San Juan Chimbas Stake. I communicated with the Argentine Consulate in Los Angeles requesting a certificate that would allow me to bring the mill with me into the country. Unfortunately, the certificate arrived a few hours AFTER I left for the airport. So the mill did not make this trip. I checked with the customs officials at the airport in Mendoza; and they stated that with the certificate the mill could have been brought into the country without any questions.
